JZ Flowers Team Runs for MIND Charity Support
A JZ Flowers team has proudly participated in the Humber Bridge Half Marathon, supporting MIND Hull and East Yorkshire, one of our selected charities. Originally planned for last year but postponed, the anticipation made this moment even more special. It was an incredible opportunity to raise awareness and funds for mental health, an issue we are passionate about.
Our amazing team consisted of Jonny Young (Responsible Sourcing & Compliance Manager), Luke Stancer (Assistant Stock Control Manager), Jana Dureika (Raw Material Quality Manager), Witold Kunysz (Logistics Manager), Lisa Jones (Senior Account Manager), Chris Manoussakis (Head of Commercial), and Adam Cooke (Lincolnshire Site Manager). The half marathon offered a scenic yet challenging course, starting from Hessle High School, crossing the Humber Bridge, winding through Barton-upon-Humber, and back to the finish line. The route, with its varied terrain and closed roads, provided a unique and rewarding experience for all involved.
The true purpose behind our participation was to support MIND Hull and East Yorkshire, a local charity doing incredible work in providing mental health services. MIND offers essential help to those facing mental health difficulties, ensuring they don’t have to face their struggles alone. Their mission aligns closely with our values, as they provide a lifeline for people dealing with stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues.
At JZ Flowers, we take pride in supporting our community, and participating in this race was a meaningful way to give back. Each step we took was in honour of those battling mental health challenges, and we are grateful for the encouragement and backing we received along the way. We look forward to continuing our efforts in raising both awareness and funds for this important cause. Thanks to everyone who has supported us—it truly made the day unforgettable!
