Team JZ Complete Gruelling Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge
If you think taking on the Yorkshire Three Peak challenge on a ‘normal day’ is a tough task, try doing it in poor visibility and treacherous weather conditions. That’s exactly what the 17-person team from JZ Flowers did as they took on the three major peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough on Saturday, July 30th.
Starting from Horten-in-Ribblesdale, the team didn’t let the wind and rain prevent them from climbing over 600 metres, walking over 25 miles in distance and completing the circular course in under 12 hours.
The challenge provided the team with an opportunity to test themselves both physically and mentally, and was completed in support of Aim Higher, a local charity that helps to empower families facing autism, mental health, and educational barriers.
The team have so far raised over £2,000 to support the charity Aim Higher, including a very generous contribution from the Dutch Flower Foundation. If you would like to donate, please visit https://lnkd.in/etwJTHwB
